Fall Fun

My love of all things fall grows deeper each year.  I love watching my kids enjoy the pumpkin patch and raking leaves and wearing pants and long sleeved clothes.  It's  delightful, all of it!

And this year has been no exception.

We did the pumpkin patch a little earlier this year and it was a real success.  We found some great pumpkins and had an overall good time.

This sunflower lane was new this year and made for some fun pictures.

We were also really smart and brought our own wagon.  It was busy and the wagons are scarce.

Proof that Nora was there.  She spent most of her time chillin' in the stroller.  It was too sunny and she didn't have a hat so I tried to keep her shaded in her stroller instead.

She did get a chance to get out and drink a bottle in the shade where the picnic tables were set up.

And the kids picked out a really cute little pumpkin for her.

Lovin' the leaves.  And we have a ton in our yard this year.  The winds have not been in our favor and we got way more from neighbors trees than we usually do.  Good thing I like raking.

And these boys are good helpers with the leaves too.

Nora looked adorable in this little owl outfit.  She is getting so big.  She rolls over from stomach to back and wants to sit or stand all the time.  Oh, I love her!

Isaac is still loving preschool.  They did colors recently and this was the craft for purple day.  They were princes and princesses.

We took the costumes for a test run at the Treat Street by our library recently.  The boys said they were plenty warm and we have so much candy already.  It's slightly ridiculous.

Oh...I love these two.  Nora adores Isaac and Ben too.  But Isaac gives her more attention and she eats it up.  She was laughing for him in this picture.  She always smiles and laughs for him.  It's kind of awesome.

Sweet Nora's Big Day

Nora's brothers are so excited for her to play with toys.  They pile them on her all the time and they also wanted me to put on the rattle booties and wrist rattles.  So cute.

Nora was blessed this past weekend.  It was a great weekend with both sets of grandparents visiting as well as Aunt Diana.  We were also lucky to have Sarah and her family around.  Jacob's cousin, Justin and his wife Laurel and my Aunt Carol and Uncle Jim also joined us Sunday for the blessing.

Diana made Nora's dress and I loved everything about it.  It was long, but not super long and made of the best eyelet fabric.  She did good work.

And here is adorable Nora showing it off.

The blessing itself went well.  Jacob was busy gathering up the men of the family that he almost walked up to the front without the baby.  I'm not sure if he would have made it all the way up front without her but I had to say "Jacob, you are going to need the baby" before he turned around to get her from Aunt Carol.  My mom wished I had just let him go to see what would have happened.  So funny.  Sister Child turned and said to me "you better go home and write that down."  And now I have.

Nora cried during her blessing.  It didn't bother me because it didn't seem that loud.  But the second the blessing was done and Jacob was holding Nora up a bit she stopped crying.  She just is not really a fan of lying on her back and certainly is a little bit of a busy baby and wants to see the world around her.  She really is an angel baby.  So good most of the time.  Jacob blessed Nora that she would bring happiness and light to those around her and she sure does to me.

We enjoyed our time with our family visiting and I failed to take too many photos.  So it goes...

I did capture these gems though.  Ben ran inside the second Jacob brought out the leaf blower because he needed to get his blower too.  He then mimicked everything Jacob did.

Isaac and cousin Riley greatly enjoyed playing in the leaves, or "Autumn leaves" as Riley said.  They actually loved raking them more than sitting in them.  To be fair, it wasn't a big pile.

And then I made the kids pose with Grandma and Grandpa Brunson to prove they really did come.  I have no proof of my parents.  :)

I sure do love this little family of mine!
