Kids at the Beach

We went to the Beach!  And I took a million photos.  None of them were fantastic of the kids because they were so busy running away from me.  It was hard to get a good face shot.  What can ya do?

Unlike the anniversary trip we had super sunny and hot weather for this trip.  We went on the hottest day of the whole two weeks, which was good because the coast is always a little cooler than the Grandparent's house.  I think both of my boys would have stayed all day, maybe all two weeks at the beach.  The absolutely loved it.  They took a little time to warm up to the waves and getting into the water but I was able to get in the water with them and Isaac got up to his armpits and I had to pull Ben up so he didn't get covered by the waves.  I wish I could have captured those moments on film but the camera was back under the umbrella.

Turns out I'm a little uptight.  Who knew?  :)  I love the idea of the beach and then I realized there was sand in EVERY THING.  I'm not sure why I didn't quite realize how much that would bother me.  The boys were covered in it, down to their underwear, ew.  We were eating food covered in sand.  Ugh...  If we lived closer to the ocean I'd have to learn to lighten up for sure.

We really did all have a great time.  We stopped at one or two of the candy shops to pick up some homemade fudge for Jacob's parents and salt water taffy for the rest of us.  Isaac and Ben sure love the salt water taffy!  It was a day well spent.

More Oregon...We're Not Done Yet!

Jacob's mom took many photos while we were there.  Though they aren't necessarily in order at all I thought I'd dump them in this post.

Love the cute father son pictures.

Grandma told Isaac he could eat this purple lettuce whenever he wanted.  He was often seen picking a few leaves and chomping them down.

Ben does this a lot at home, not always with his bear, but he will lay down on the stairs randomly.  I guess Grandma thought it was super funny.  It kinda is.

And then Grandma was nice enough to take some family photos for us.  We had a really hard time getting a family shot but I think we got a few keepers anyway.

This cute picture is from the forest.  Isaac pretended to nap on the cot.

Isaac was learning to throw the Frisbee.

Did I mention how much Ben LOVED Grandpa.  A lot.

We went to the Children's Museum one of the days.  The kids had a great time playing in their different rooms.

Watching Ben with this big stuffed dogs was a lot of fun.  I think we might have to buy one.  He loved it.  He kept saying "woof" over and over.  So cute.

This gigantic light bright board was pretty awesome.  Jacob said he wanted to figure out a way to make one but didn't think he really could.  I could have played with it for a long time!

Both Ben and Isaac loved driving the bus and ambulance.  They were pretty fun because the ambulance made siren noises and had the computer to that sort of worked.  Ben actually started throwing kind of a tantrum when it was time to go.

We didn't stay all that long because of the said tantrums that began.  It made for a pretty fun morning though.
