This Nora girl is one busy toddler. She truly embodies every toddler cliche. She loves playing in the toilet, throwing major tantrums, and climbing/dancing on the table. She is everywhere and into everything. We love our little trouble maker.
Ben...oh Ben. Full of enthusiasms and expression. I told him to show me his surprised face because it really is amazing. His eyes light up and his whole face shows his excitement. So even though these aren't authentic, they are pretty close.
I also love the way he says "barvage" for garbage and "glitter" for litter. He is a laugh a minute at our house.
And guess what? We did something we've never done before. We hosted a birthday party for our soon to be 6 year old Isaac. He is getting so big!
He and I did some looking online and agreed upon a lego theme. It was simple and fun.
They kids got to decorate a mini figure as they arrived. And then we played games.
We played pin the head on the lego mini figure, a lego spoon race, and build your own lego car and race it down the ramp. It was a hit. The kids wanted to take their cars home though.
We gave out bags full of trinkets from the dollar store. I think the whole thing was a hit. There were a couple more kids there than in this picture...another friend from school came and his little brother. They were a little late because of Karate.
Sarah sent me an email that night thanking me for having Riley and Maxwell there. She said Maxwell read the tag on the goody bag and said "Mom, it says thanks for coming. That's wrong. It should say your welcome. We're the ones that should say thank you for having the party." I decided next time we throw a party that's exactly what our tags will say "your welcome!" I laughed so hard at that. And then she said Riley looked at all the stuff in the bag and said "mom, they are way nicer than us. We wouldn't have given this much stuff!" Or something like that. I laughed at that too. Especially because all things considered, this was a cheap party.
Can't believe Isaac is 6 years old already! Two more years and it's baptism and then senior primary and then young men's and Ah...stop growing! More on his actual birthday in another post.
