Mt. Rushmore Part 2

So...at Mount Rushmore they have the little flag display area where they have all the flags from the United States. We all got pictures with the state we are from. We're cool like that.

I'm not sure why, but Jacob didn't want to ask someone to take our picture so we have a self family portrait. It turned out pretty good though.

We went back that night for the lighting ceremony and it was rainy and cold. Isaac and I spent much of our time in the visitors center area walking around the displays and trying to stay a little warm. It was also past Isaac's bed time so he was less excited about being there. But, the faces do look pretty cool all lit up.

The next day we drove home. We stopped in Wyoming at a rest stop for lunch and that is the only stop we really made. Isaac was super tired from not sleeping well the night before so he slept most of the morning and then refused an afternoon nap so was pretty cranky when we got home.

It was a good trip and I think we will do it again at some point. We had fun.
