Three stories to share:
Isaac woke up Thanksgiving morning wanting yogurt which we didn't have. So he looked at his dad and said "Buy yogurt Target."
We are mostly just so pleased that he is becoming a fan of Target like his parents.
Jacob told me that one of his favorite things about my family is our love for looking at the ads in the newspaper. And it's true, we Carter's do love our ads. So he pulled the Toys R Us ad for Isaac to look at and said "Show me you are true to your middle name." Isaac took the ad, ripped through it oh-ing and ah-ing, and then said "Let's go this place!" He found the scooters and was ready to get to that place, whatever it was.
Fast forward to bath time that same night. Jacob asks Isaac if he'd like to go shopping with him at 3 am on Black Friday. Isaac's response:
"Buy yogurt 3 am."
He must have really wanted that yogurt.

So funny! I miss seeing that liitle guy - guess it will probably be awhile before I see him again.
Did you ever imagine when we first went to the Target that opened in Orem and tried on scuba gear and hugged Angel Soft packages of toilet paper and asked the cute employees to help us, that one day we'd be shopping there with kids of our own? Good old Target! Cute little Isaac!
That's hilarious! So did he finally get his beloved yogurt? :)
Yeah, most people would think it crazy to send my German newspaper ads to Utah (it cost about $10 to do it). I however, knew my mom would appreciate it and boy did she! Plus, just about every other Carter that came into mom's house spent a good 20 minutes or more looking at those ads. Funny form of entertainment, but usually a free/cheap form...and at $10 still cheaper than sending all those people to a movie! Glad you are raising up Isaac to enjoy the simple things in life such as Target and newspaper ads.
I guess Benjamin did not make it in time to be on Mom's bday nor probably ever to share his birthday with Thanksgiving. Maybe at this rate he will share your birthday!
