A New Ride

A few weeks ago Jacob and I purchased this new ride for Isaac.

We only had a metal clip on base for our car seat and Isaac is getting old enough that he likes to see what's going on around him. And I wanted something easy to push. After talking with a few people I decided to go for a jogging stroller with the larger wheels. We bought this one off craigslist and it's certainly not the top of the line. But for now it does okay. It seems to be pulling to the left though and I need to figure that out.

The other night we went on a walk near the Poudre River.

I think Isaac mostly likes the new ride, but I put his hat on him every time we go out and he doesn't like the hat. He pulls on it but can't get it off because it's fastened around his chin. He ultimately ends up pulling it over his eyes. Most of the time he doesn't even cry about it, but that sort of defeats the purpose of getting him a stroller from which he is more able to look around.

And since it's a jogging stroller, I decided I had better start jogging again (especially after seeing this photo :)). So I took Isaac for a jog the day after this river walk. I was pretty certain I was going to die. I haven't been jogging in a long while and never pushing a stroller. It's hard for me to find my groove while hanging on to that jogger. So it mostly ended up being a jog/walk. But I went again this morning and did a little better. I guess if I get a little better and jog a little longer every time I go out that's all I can ask for. But I REALLY need to get this pulling to the left situation figured out. I think it's because the front wheel's quick release gizmo is a little loose and doesn't keep the wheel aligned right. Jacob said he'd check into it and if we can't figure it out we'll post it back on craigslist and buy a different one.

And as for Isaac, after such exhausting activities he needed a bath to relax and rinse that sweat off. I love this chubby baby!
