In the midst of our sickness (don't worry if shortly after getting home from the hospital Isaac and I caught the cold and then Isaac and Jacob caught a stomach bug. Yeah, we've had an AWESOME two weeks at this household.) I stopped to take some photos of my adorable 1 month old babe. Is he not the most perfect little boy you've ever seen? I'll post more as I am able to edit them, but this one is probably my fav.

Sandy, I'm sorry I did not check the blog earlier to see what you were going through. I am so glad you are home and hope you don't feel too buried in all the things you want to do to catch up.
It sounds awful to be cooped up in the hospital, even though it was helping your baby get better. Like you say, now you have greater empathy for those who go through it.
Sweet little Ben. Don't you just love these babies so much? They are so little and need us, and yet, there is something definitely independently beautiful about them. They are a separate being from us, but we have a strong connection and the blessed, challenging (frightening) and joyous privilege of caring for them. Hard to describe, so sometimes we say it better with pictures--like this beautiful photo. Thank you for sharing!
