This little boy is growing up WAY too fast. I had to buy new shirts for the summer and he wanted to wear this one the other day. He looked so old to me. Such a little boy, not a baby at all. Where did those two and a half years go? So fast...
I was having a really hard day with Isaac and decided I needed a reset. While he napped (thankfully) I made "cloud dough" that I had seen on pinterest. It's pretty fun. It's just flour and oil but it acts similar to damp sand. It can compact and be molded but breaks apart easily. It was messy and fun and just what we needed to get back on track. Isaac loved it and played with it for at least 30 minutes, and on more than one day. Awesome.
He also loaded Ben up with toys. He's helpful like that these days. Before I could even get to the camera he had starting taking the toys back. He gives and takes pretty quickly and Ben is mostly good natured about it. He is starting to get old enough to realize when things are gone and cries sometimes though.
These boys are especially cute first thing in the morning when Isaac wanted to read to little Ben. I love these moments. I was actually getting ready when this particular moment happened and Jacob was smart enough to capture it on camera. I'm glad he thinks of these things when I so often don't.
We've gotten a lot of snow the past week. More than we got all winter. Isaac has loved looking at it but he's not been out in it much due to having yet another cold.
Two days after all this snow fell we had 60 degree weather and it all melted in a matter of a few days. That's Colorado for you. And then we had more snow today. I think we are all really glad for whatever snow or rain we can get after all the fires last year. We are hoping to avoid drought this summer but still not sure we've had enough water to do that. Here's hoping. These 12 inches can't hurt!
He really can move when he wants. Good thing he's still somewhat content to play with toys I give him in the spot I set him.
More cloud dough fun. I think he played for almost an hour this day. Who knew it would be such a hit. If it weren't so messy I'd let him do it all day long. So much of this dough ended on the floor or elsewhere that I threw it out. I'll have to make some more soon.
Isaac has been really funny about his ties lately, and especially this one. He is constantly wanting to wear them. I go walking with my friend, Carol Van Shaar and her daughter every Wednesday and Friday. We have had to walk at the mall the past few times because of the cold. I had Isaac all bundled up last Friday and right before we left he insisted on wearing this tie. So we headed to the mall with Isaac and his tie, over his coat. It was awesome.
We must tell Isaac he is handsome a lot, especially when fancied up for church, because he will put this tie on and tell us he is so handsome. Yes Isaac, you sure are.

Big, cute and funny are the words I have to use to describe your two boys. Love to them and your wonderful family, from Germany!
So cute. Your boys are getting so big!!
Sandy, these pictures are so adorable and really capture the beauty of your family and YOU! Those days when you need a reset are so tough. I admire you so much that you found a way to do it. It's nice to write down and photo what we love about these people and this stage of life when we can.
Cute boys! Hilarious that Isaac loves ties. I love the picture of Isaac reading to Ben. These past few days, Hannah keeps talking about all the things she is going to do with her baby sister. I hope reading to her is one of them. One more thing--I can't believe all that snow!
