Winter Has Arrived!

We welcomed winter this week.  It was a pretty sudden and drastic temperature drop.  Sunday's high was in the upper 60s.  Monday's afternoon temps were in the 30s.  And it's getting colder.

So basically we've gone from spending some afternoon time riding bikes and enjoying jacket weather to bundling up in all our winter gear for about 5 minutes of freezing play outside.

Isaac looks good on his new bike, right?

We celebrated the first real snow of the year with "snow on the mountain" cookies.  That's what Jacob's family calls them.  They are the chocolate cookies rolled in powdered sugar.  A yummy way to welcome winter.

And at the first flurries on Monday the boys got all bundled up and spent some time in the "snow."

Then they spent more time in teh actual accumulation Tuesday.  I love the snow and so do these boys.

We're still waiting for fall to arrive here - we've been in the low 80's until just recently when we finally starting getting some 70's. Seasons - how I miss them!

Sandy, catching up on the past few posts I admire so much what you do! Such great celebrating of birthdays and holidays and everydays! It is fun to see all the pictures of Isaac and look into his beautiful face and see some of who he is, even while he's squirming around. I'm glad to hear that he's growing up in so many good ways. Ben is such a great Yoda. And Ben looks adorable all bundled up for winter.
