I spent the morning with Jacob and a room full of Realtors and bankers.
Yep, that's right. The house is officially ours. We immediately went over after the signing to walk through it as our own. It was a little weird, I'm not gonna lie. Weird, but good. With the house all empty I really started thinking about how to decorate and paint and where to put things.
Well, really it's more about Jacob moving in as I won't really be joining him until July.
But it is exciting just the same. So, again, if any of you have decorating tips just you let me know.

Congratulations. Pictures on walls make it feel more "homey."
That is exciting. Congrats on closing.
Congrats on closing on your house! That's so awesome!
Some decorating tips- look through a bunch of magazines/websites and find things you like and don't worry about doing everything at once.
Look at paint swatches (or you can buy tiny sample cans) in different light and at different times of day. We also found that Frog Tape was worth the extra money- we didn't have any paint bleed through the tape or peel off when we removed the tape like we did downstairs. We're huge fans of low/no VOC paint and primer! (freshaire from Home Depot and the like)
And make your home personal with things you love!
SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!
Congratulations! Have fun decorating!
Congrats! We can't wait to visit you guys in your new house. Maybe in August...
Congrats on closing that is very exciting stuff.
Congrats on the new house. That's exciting.
Congrats! We are looking at houses tomorrow night. Wish me luck!
Congrats on closing and on your new home. I'm sure it will get less weird as you move into it, decorate it, and really make it your own.
I'm likewise a fan of Frog tape, but other than that, I'd just say pick colors and themes that really represent you, don't go by what's trendy. Oh, and dark colors work best as accent walls unless you have really huge rooms. ;)
